PwC's event "Business + Sustainability: From Ambition to Action" was a capstone webinar to the Boston Globe's Sustainability Week where leaders from GE, American Tower, and John Hancock spoke about the current and future state of ESG and corporate sustainability. "Consulting firms are seeing strong demand from clients that span the entire maturity spectrum from 'how do we approach sustainability' to 'how to develop a purpose-drive sustainable strategy' to 'how to report and disclose our ESG performance and use metrics'," said Daniel Versace, analyst, ESG Business Services at IDC. "There are some industries that are more mature than others, but there is a steep learning curve, and consultants are meeting clients where they are at, in order to help them get buy-in from the Board and C-suite. Opportunities are boundless and include strategy, risk consulting, supply chain management, and human capital management."
