We've kept our 2023 GDP growth forecast at -0.2% as the ongoing political deadlock is paralysing efforts to revive the Lebanese economy. The potential that tensions will escalate on the Israel border is weighing on the outlook and several governments already advise against travel to Lebanon. The modest recovery we currently pencil in for next year will be at risk if Lebanon gets entangled in the conflict.
