We have forecast a slowdown for Azerbaijan in 2023, due to fiscal and monetary tightening, and the declining oil price from the 2022 high. Furthermore, we forecast that inflation will remain elevated at 6.6% in 2023, following 12.2% in 2022, as despite energy price falls, food prices increases will weigh on growth in 2023.
