This IDC study presents the revenue share and system unit shipment share by system vendor and the solution revenue share by hyperconverged software vendors in the Japan hyperconverged systems market."In 2021, the Japan hyperconverged systems market grew at a low rate as businesses curbed IT infrastructure spending in the wake of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. From the perspective of hyperconverged software vendors, the top vendors continue to have a high revenue share and an oligopoly. On the other hand, from the perspective of system vendors, the market share of the top vendors fluctuated, influenced by the presence or absence of large projects, and their market shares became even more closely matched," says Masaaki Moriyama, group director, IDC Japan.
