IDC's Worldwide Social, Environmental Responsibility and Ethics Taxonomy, 2021: Technology and Services for Sustainable Impact
This IDC study presents IDC's taxonomy of the social, environmental responsibility and ethics (SERE) initiatives that organizations across the world are committing to and delivering upon. It provides definitions of 4 functional categories (governance, individual, community, and environment) and their 11 subcategories. This taxonomy forms the foundation for IDC's worldwide and regional research on the SERE topics and is built to include the views from various existing frameworks such as United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs) and Sustainability Accounts Standards Board (SASB)."IDC's worldwide SERE taxonomy provides a comprehensive and detailed framework for the corporate initiatives focused on four key areas: governance, individual, community, and environment and is an essential resource for understanding how IDC covers this market across the globe," says Amita Potnis, research director for IDC's Future of Trust. "IDC believes that organizations committed to and delivering on their SERE promises can benefit from improved brand, reputation, trust, and profitability."
