IBM Spins Off GTS and Rebrands GBS as "IBM Consulting"

This IDC Market Note analyzes the decisions at IBM: IBM Consulting is the new brand for Global Business Services unit, following the spin-off of Global Technology Services as Kyndryl. The new name reflects a stronger focus on the application and process layers of the value stack and on business transformation. IBM Consulting will have an important role in pulling through revenue for the rest of IBM and driving revenue growth for the company. IBM will need to be clear about its infrastructure transformation story, and it should probably make more of its strategy and design capabilities in the shape of IBM iX.
