Generative AI in Engineering — A Revolution in Process
This IDC Perspective explores the opportunities and challenges for generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools, such as Open AI's ChatGPT, to improve engineering and product/process development. This document reviews fundamental aspects of how AI-driven content generation works, including the programmatic nature of creating new content and the role of large language models (LLMs) for training the GAI.
