E2open Acquires BluJay

This IDC Market Note discusses the recently announced acquisition by E2open of BluJay Solutions, a cloud-based logistics execution platform. The absorption of BluJay will materially expand E2open's supply chain execution capabilities, especially in transportation management. In addition, BluJay brings a highly complementary global trade management platform that encompasses customs declaration and filing to E2open's strong capabilities in compliance and tariffs. The acquisition further adds key direct-to-consumer offerings including last mile, parcel, and dropship commerce capabilities. Combined, the E2open and BluJay complementary networks will bring greater value to their current and future customers through the growing power of a multi-enterprise supply chain ecosystem networks and by having broader access to proprietary data and analytics.
