AWS-Atos Partnership Prefigures the Route to the Future for Infrastructure Outsourcing Providers

This IDC Market Note discusses an announcement during AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas of a strategic agreement that deepens the existing partnership between AWS and Atos."This announcement between AWS and Atos is important, not only for the two companies involved, but also for the whole outsourcing and enterprise cloud markets. The agreement helps drive AWS adoption and upskills Atos' workforce: a win-win situation. But it also prefigures the infrastructure outsourcing future, with GSIs exiting the datacenter market and hyperscalers taking on more of the infrastructure estate.
