We have reduced our 2023 GDP growth forecast for Laos by 0.2ppts to 4%, reflecting lower household real income due to elevated inflation that is being driven by high global commodity prices and kip depreciation. The continued recovery in services and exports should help to support growth in H2 2023 and into 2024 as external demand picks up. As a result, we have raised our 2024 GDP growth forecast by 0.5ppts to 5.5%.
