We've trimmed our growth forecast for Hungary this month by 0.1ppt and now expect GDP to contract by 0.9% this year, and expand by 2.7% in 2024. The latest high-frequency data show no signs of the awaited rebound in activity and worsening surveys indicate near-term risks remain in place. As a result, we anticipate only modest GDP growth over H2 and a gradual recovery next year as policy mix is weighing on activity and foreign demand remains subdued.
