Our GDP growth forecast for the Dominican Republic in 2023 is unchanged at 3.8%, as we continue to expect domestic demand to slow due to monetary tightening and subdued activity in advanced economies. Economic activity was weak in Q1, with estimated average GDP growth of 1.4%. But we expect some improvement later in the year, led by strong tourism, robust manufacturing, and improving terms of trade. We forecast 4.9% GDP growth in 2024.
